Looking for the PERFECT place to stay? Look no further!
My husband and I stayed at the Southern Surf Beach Apartments from April 7th to April 10th, 2005 and had a wonderful and very positive experience. This is the place you want to stay if it is your first visit to Barbados. Not only are the rates very reasonable, they’re located just across the street from the nicest beach in Barbados (Accra/Rockley).
The Apartments are absolutely fabulous. They’re extremely clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating. Although there are not personal phones in each room, the staff leant us a cell phone for free and even sold us the calling card to use it. There was also a safe available in the room so that we could lock up our valuables.
I suffer from health problems with walking and a poor back. The staff set us up in a wonderful room on the main level so that I wouldn’t have to take the stairs. The staff even enquired to see if the mattress was OK for my back and that I was sleeping well.
Although there are only 14 Apartments, it’s really enjoyable as the staff provide personalized attention to each and every guest. The buildings are on a busy street (quiets down at night), however, it’s not a heavy traveled highway. Southern Surf is close to everything. Just a short cab ride to Bridgetown. If requested, the staff will even arrange tours and activities at the front desk
My husband and I look forward to a return visit to the Southern Surf Beach Apartments.

We loved staying at the Southern Surf in August 2003. The apartments were very spacious, clean and well equipped. The central location of Southern Surf was perfect for exploring and enjoying Barbados. The best beach of Barbados (Rockley) and a very good restaurant is just across the street. Add the friendly staff and we can only give one advice to travellers to Barbados: stay at The Southern
Surf!

We have been visiting the Southern Surf yearly since 2000. In 2002 we exchanged vows on the beach directly across from the apartment. Our entire wedding party booked the hotel and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Having just returned from our most recent trip in Sept '03 we were even more impressed. The renovations and extra care and attention blew us away. Andrew and Lara and the entire staff make every part of your trip an absolute treat. We wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!! Keep up the fantastic work and we can't wait to come back again next year!! |

My parents and I stayed at Southern Surf for three and a half weeks in August 2003. I was relieved to find the location of the Apartments was close to restaurants, the supermarket and shopping and it wasn't until we had driven around the island that I realised the location of the apartments was across the road from one of the best beaches on the island. I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at Southern Surf to anyone travelling to Barbados. I miss it. |
