Allamanda Beach Hotel, Barbados

Welcome to Allamanda Beach Hotel

Welcome to Allamanda Beach Hotel

For those of you who have never been to Barbados before let us tell you a bit about our Hotel and our Island.

The Hotel began it’s life in the early 1960’s as Woodville Apartments, when the owners Elaine & Hugh Walcott (now retired), began converting their “Bajan” (local parlance for things Barbadian, including the people) residence into tourist apartments. Many large homes on the South Coast of the island followed this trend at the time. The style was very cozy, everyone knew everyone else and many great friendships were born.

As Tourism grew so did our Hotel...

Today Hugh & Elaine have retired from the business and their son Robin runs the Hotel. He took up the reins in 1994.

The Hotel was increased in size from 28 rooms to 48. Improvements and upgrades were made throughout. In 1994 the name was changed to Woodville Beach Hotel and now in 2001 we have once again changed the name to Allamanda Beach, the final stage in the re-organization.

Our hotel has grown and blossomed through the years, today proudly and fitfully wearing its new name Allamanda, the name of a tropical flower.
