Hello Hugh; To confirm our conversation: 1. We will go ahead with the site now and bill according to your budget as outlines in your fax on Nov. 10th, 1997. John Gibbs was to have confirmed this by Fax to you. 2. We are going to use frames so that links that we make to ASTAnet and Tour Operators etc will not loose the clients. We create a front page for the search engines. The front page will direct the user to BTA-USA frames.. The contents on the left (frame) will be: Welcome - Travel info - News - Literature - Contacts (people-emails-addresses-requests) -Whats on - Goto Barbados 3. We will have a new TRADE ONLY section within Travel Info (maybe call it "Travel Tips" istead of Travel Info). The TRADE ONLY section will include info on promotions and incentives etc to the trade. It will also have a reserved area for the Special Agents who can access confidential information (with a password) 4. Can Mike help us get emails for the travel agents and tourops. We need to email them to say that Barbados is working with them as in the following "We are pleased to advise you that BTA-USA is putting up a Website for American travelers and for the USA travel trade. Here are a few of the features designed for you. Tour Operators/Special Agents A. Free listing for selected tour operators and agents.. (Barbados is listing your name and address under the major category of your operation). B. A Trade only page of news, promotions, incentives and marketing tips. Available on the Internet, with late breaking news and special promotions for the trade. This now includes a Password protected area for the BTA Special Agents. C. HUGH; We have hotels, villas, points of interest, events and restaurants in a database. The others (activities, special arrangements etc) could be added. We would need to classify all according to the above criteria and create the interface. The user then selects the items and we return a list of recommendations. The alternative is just to give a few suggestions for each area above. We expand this to each theme. I think its a great idea. Your comments please ???
